Xinnia

Is the niece of a priest who founded his own church: The Church of Rebirth. The church is small, with around 500 followers. Xinnia helps out at the church.

Galatea

The third-eldest daughter and fourth child of the prestigious Lazuli lineage. Descendant of numerous Hunger Games victors, as well as celebrities, Peacekeepers, socialites and politicians. Mother is Charlotte Lazuli, the victor of the 972nd Hunger Games -- won at age 15. Father is Wythe Ashlar-Lazuli, the District 2 victor of the 971st Hunger Games -- won at age 16. Elder brother, and the eldest Lazuli child, is Jasper Lazuli, the victor of the 993rd Hunger Games -- won at age 18 and a leading Peacekeeper. One of the highest ranking District 1 Career Academy students, and is a talented sniper. Considered the Academy's best sniper, often called "Sniper Queen". However, due to her smoking habits, she has developed severe breathing problems and has come under fire from her trainer as a result of this.

She is nurturing towards the Academy's younger and weaker students, who call her "Gally" affectionately -- and they think of her as a big sister. She secretly helps them train. Because of her close friendship with Palatia, she has a discount at Palatia's family's jewellery store.

Palatia

Only daughter of a pair of jewellers. Attends the District 1 Career Academy. Has a younger brother who is an infant. Her parents have a slightly above-average income, but they aren't ridiculously wealthy. She was bullied, which had a negative impact on her performance at the Academy. Luckily, Galatea intervened and stood up for her. Galatea offered to give Palatia extra training, which she accepted. Ever since, the two have become close friends -- to the point that Palatia calls Galatea "Big Sis Gally" and thinks of her as the big sister she never had.
